Fireworks from last years celebration illuminate the Seattle skyline.
It's that time again; BBQ, beer and Red-White and Bang! I can't wait for tonights celebration. At approx. 10pm all of Seattle's attention will be on Lake Union as the annual fireworks display illuminates the sky. I'm lucky in that I can walk from my place to the Lake and not have to deal with the awful traffic. I already noticed last night that the city traffic dept set cones so that vehicles will not be able to change lanes. This should be fun! For those souls not familiar with the quirkiness of Seattle's streets, STAY HOME and watch it on TV! Many people will watch the show from their rooftop apts and condos, many of which are near/on Lake Union. Although my building is nearby, it faces westerly so that I can't get a view to the East and where the fireworks will be set-off. I hope that everyone is able to spend this day and remember our history and just relax and not have to worry about work! Happy Birthday America!
