Southern Hospitality

I had been wanting to visit the South as a new travel experience and now had a good excuse to do so. An old friend from a previous job;Don and Paula, had returned home after military careers, and I was craving some good Southern food and a break from the pace of things up here. Paula's sister and husband graciously had a crawfish boil and brew dinner. It was a great time and I learned a bit about Southern tradition. In all, the 7 of us ate 25lbs of crawfish in addition to corn and new potatos. The veggies are cooked at the bottom of the same pot as the crawfish. It was a nice time just sittin' 'round and relaxing with great food and friends. I also visited the ULM campus in Monroe. And I never won anything off of my Louisiana Powerball ticket potentially worth 96 million, or over 50mil in one lump-sum...to dream! Another memorable trip and a BIG "thanks again" to my hosts! And don't forget to checkout some of the pics below.
